DOVETAIL WINS AGAIN

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

We're proud to announce that Barrell Dovetail was awarded Double Gold at the 2020 New York International Spirits Competition, the highest award of the competition. The prestigious honor signifies that all of the judges on the panel awarded the entry with a Gold Medal. Additionally, Barrell Bourbon Batch 024 and Batch 025, earned Gold medals. The blind competition is the only one of its kind that’s judged by real trade buyers, which the organization believes “are the best people to rank products as they’re constantly checking in with the market to ensure that their buying decisions line up with what the consumer wants and what will sell, based upon quality and price.”  Dovetail is blended to highlight some of our favorite flavors. Woody bourbon; terroir driven Dunn Cabernet; toasted French oak; Late Bottled Vintage Port pipes; black strap molasses casks; all working in tandem to create a buttery and deep whiskey as unique as it is delicious. Dovetail was also recently awarded the “Chairman’s Trophy” at the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

BARRELL BOURBON BATCH 025

Barrell Bourbon Batch 025 is now making it's way to shelves across the country. This batch highlights the unique additions that secondary grains contribute to aged bourbon. Though Barrell Bourbon Batch 025 is not a "wheated bourbon" in its entirety, it's the first time we have ever used a wheated set of barrels as part of the recipe for a batch.13 to 15-year corn-forward bourbons and 5 to 9-year-old wheated bourbons were slowly layered in with a selection of 9-year-old high-rye bourbons, revealing notes from the entire spectrum of available flavors. A portrait of finely tuned blending, Batch 025 is citrusy and peppery, without losing the opulence and oaky ease of the older ingredients.

  • Distilled and aged in TN, KY, and IN

  • Selection of 5.5, 9, 10, 13, and 15-year-old barrels

  • Aged in American white oak barrels

  • 113.4 proof cask strength bottling
