Barrell Craft Spirits Awards Double Platinum Barrell Bourbon Batch 033 is a marriage of high-rye barrels and high-corn barrels ranging in age from 5 to 9 years old. The high-rye barrels were chosen for their distinct stone fruit, black pepper, and nutmeg notes. The high-corn barrels were chosen for their rich butterscotch, coffee, and citrus notes. This batch displays all the complexity of a blend of different distillates given time to blossom. Barrel character adds some diverse leafy notes at the margins without an overabundance of extractive woody or spice notes. Barrell Bourbon Private Release Bourbon GXA1 has a component age statement of 75% 5 year 15% 7 year 5% 9 year and 5% 14 year bourbons. It shows a pronounced sweet and earthy Kentucky Bourbon influence. Barrell Bourbon Private Release Bourbon CSX8 has a component age statement of 55% 5 year 25% 7 year 15% 10 year and 5% 17 year bourbons. It shows a pronounced sweet and earthy Kentucky Bourbon influence.

Platinum Barrell Bourbon Batch 032 began with a balance of two sets of barrels: a selection of 5 and 6-year-old barrels with a creamy and tropical profile and a selection of 6, 7 and 10-year-old barrels vatted for their complex, old, woody character. A small group of spice driven 7-year-old barrels with notes of cinnamon toast, coffee bean and chocolate were then carefully added to complete the blend. The result is a decadent and rich bourbon with layers of spice and nuttiness. Barrell Private Release Whiskey DJA2 Finished in a St. Agrestis Brooklyn Amaro Cask has an aroma of cardamom, baked apricot, orange and lime zest, and a hint of white pepper. The palate comes in with cardamom, dark cherry, ginger, tarragon and finishes with a hint of lemon grass. Barrell Private Release Whiskey DJX2 Finished in a Ruby Port Barrel has an aroma of plum, bing cherry, orange pith, white chocolate, and a hint of nutmeg. The palate comes in with dried cherry, cinnamon spice, butterscotch, strawberry jam and finishes with chocolate covered raisins, dark cherry, and orange peel. Gold Barrell Bourbon Batch 034 is a blend of 6, 8, 10, and 15-year-old barrels. 8-year-old barrels driven by strong hazelnut and dark cherry notes lay a foundation enhanced by high-corn barrels showing browned butter and apricot. The nose is deftly balanced between the exuberant fresh fruit of youth and the oxidized, dried fruit of maturity. This dynamic tension carries over to the palate where rich port notes are supported by bright Seville orange and cola. The result is a robust and sophisticated bourbon. Barrell Private Release Whiskey DSX3 Finished in a Pedro Ximenez Sherry Barrel has an aroma of maple syrup, French toast, chocolate cream puff, lemon zest, banana bread and kiwi. The palate comes in with maple doughnut, cinnamon, lemon pound cake, apple fritter and finishes with vanilla and baking spices.

Stellum Awards Double Platinum Stellum Fibonacci Rye celebrates the Fibonacci sequence, a series of numbers, each the sum of the two previous numbers. Six separate rye blends were combined in accordance with this sequence. Just like so many other presentations of Fibonacci, the blend that it produced was both balanced and beautiful. Hunter's Moon is a warm, oak driven bourbon that was made in preparation for winter and inspired by the Hunter’s Moon of October. It is marked by a high rye spice and a robust woodiness meant for the time of year when days get shorter and the nights get longer. Red Fox Sparrow was blended using barrels that had been stored in the north, before being brought south to our blending facility in Louisville. Barrels with green cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and apple pie notes were married with fruit-forward barrels with hints of tangerine, strawberry, cherry, honey, and white macadamia nut. The result is a stimulating fusion of eastern spices and fruit. • The inaugural release of Stellum Equinox was created using Stellum Bourbon. We slowly layered in rare sets of bourbon barrels, step by step, until the evening of the Vernal Equinox, when the blend was completed in honor of the changing seasons.

Gold Stellum Lone Cypress Rye is a savory and delicate rye blend, defined by notes of dried herbs and pine, with a hint of salt-air salinity. It’s named for one of the world’s most famous trees, found on the picturesque coast of the Monterey Peninsula.
