12-YEAR FRENCH TOAST(ED)

The finest French oak doesn't overpower great bourbon; it reveals new dimensions. For French Toast(ed), exceptional bourbon was finished in carefully selected French oak casks of varying toast levels. This blend focused primarily on Grand Chauffe French oak barrels, toasted over a longer period of time using lower intensity heat. The extended toast helped develop deeper, more complex flavors while complementing the maturity of the bourbon. Other French oak casks and toast levels added additional layers and dimension to the final blend. Notes of toasted brioche, vanilla custard, roasted nuts, cinnamon, clove, and crème brûlée create a profile reminiscent of French toast: rich, comforting, and refined.

IN TOASTED AMERICAN OAK

Our blending team crafted this release from a collection of 12 to 15-year-old bourbon barrels, chosen for their exceptional maturity, complexity, and balance. Representing years of careful aging, the deep flavors of oak, spice, and caramelized sweetness of each barrel were then artfully blended to create a bourbon harmonizing their unique characteristics. The blend was then given a thoughtful finishing period in slow-toasted American oak casks lending a luxurious depth to this mature bourbon, accentuating its natural sweetness and complexity while preserving its refined structure. The result is a bourbon that showcases the blending team’s mastery: a sophisticated expression that captures the elegance of age, the precision of craft, and the influence of carefully selected oak.

IN FRENCH OAK CASKS

This 12-year-old bourbon underwent a secondary maturation in hand-selected French oak casks with distinct toast levels designed to enhance its aromatic depth and enrich its palate. The influence of the French oak imparts a rich tapestry of flavors—warm nutmeg and aromatic allspice unfold on the palate, followed by layers of toasted hazelnut and creamy vanilla, and a sophisticated touch of worn leather, adding a refined, earthy character.
